I'm on a podcast! Check out "Writ in the Margins"

Our dramaturgy class created the first season of the new podcast "Writ in the Margins'! Check out the official description below:

Missing your usual Early Modern content over the summer break?

No fear! Our students as part of their dramaturgy curriculum wrote, produced, and now PUBLISHED a series of podcasts covering lesser-known early modern works.

The first three episodes focus on Lope de Vega's FuenteOvejuna and are available now.

Each Monday in July, a new batch of episodes will drop centered on Cavendish's Convent of Pleasure, Sor Juana's House of Desires, and Dekker, Ford and Rowley's Witch of Edmonton. Each episode contains dramaturgical insight gleaned from strategies including structural analysis, performance criticism, critical theory, adaptation studies, and contextual research. Over the course of the season, special guests will include Sara Topham, Tim Briggs, Dr. Kathleen Jeffs, and Dr. Catherine Boyle among others. There's also original music, performed scenes, and at least one lengthy love letter to Iberico ham.

If your ears get bored this month, we hope you'll tune in! "Writ in the Margins" is available to stream via the website, which also features show notes and full episode transcripts. You can also find it through Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, and Spotify by searching "writ in the margins."
